Welcome to In the Balance! I’m Kelly Jo, but most people call me KJ. With over 18 years in the beauty industry, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside top stylists and celebrity talent, including Billy Yamaguchi, creator of feng shui in cosmetology. My journey has taken me from elite spas and luxury hotels to working on cruise ships, where I traveled the world doing hair and earned a spot as the 6th best barber on the ocean. Haircutting is my favorite part of what I do, and I’m known for creating precision cuts that perfectly suit each individual’s style and personality. I’m also certified in chemical hair services, including color, chemical straightening, and perms, so I can deliver beautiful, long-lasting results. In addition, I hold certifications in creative color, blonding, balayage, and hair care. I’ve also been recognized for my work in special effects makeup. Currently, I’m proud to educate for Pureology within the L’Oréal beauty family, sharing my passion for beautiful, balanced hair that works for all hair types. Above all, I believe in sharing love—whether through the work I do or the connections I make with my clients. Cancelation: Hello there! It's understood that sometimes situations come up that require you to change your plans. If you must cancel or reschedule your appointment, I request that you notify me at least 24 hours in advance. This helps protect both our time & helps ensure an excellent service. Deposits: For some color services there may be a deposit for purchasing product and securing your time slot. Refunds: No refunds issued. Additional services to adjust or refine may be 50% off per consultation.
